Day 1: We travel to the beautiful state of Maine and one of its most popular towns, Bar Harbor. A full day of driving will bring us to Saco, ME, where we unwind from our day of travel over an included dinner. (D)

Day 2: We continue on our way to Bar Harbor, one of Maine’s most scenic towns. Enjoy lunch on your own at one of Bar Harbor’s bistros. This afternoon we embark on a nature cruise of Bar Harbor. There’s nothing like Bar Harbor from the water. Enjoy the pristine landscape, rocky coastline, seals, lighthouses and summer mansions. We check in to our accommodations for the next two nights. Tonight you will be our guests for dinner in Bar Harbor. (B, D)

Day 3: This morning we tour Acadia National Park. This glacier-carved island is a geological grab bag of mountains, lakes, cliffs, forests, beaches and rugged shoreline. We will travel to the peak of Cadillac Mountain for breathtaking views of the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. We later give you free time to explore Bar Harbor’s quaint downtown filled with shops, eateries, galleries and museums. A delicious Maine lobster bake dinner concludes our enjoyable day. (B, D)

Day 4: We depart Bar Harbor this morning en route to beautiful downtown Bath, “one of America’s Best Small Cities.” Bath was famous for its ship building and we learn about its history at the Maine Maritime Experience. We will learn about boat building, sea captains and the lobster industry. Lunch will be on your own in Bath before we take to the sea again on a Lighthouse Lover’s Cruise in Portland, where we view Maine’s rugged, rocky coast and picturesque lighthouses. View as many as seven lighthouses as well as lobster boats, seals, seabirds and the famous Portland Head Light. Tonight you will be our guests for dinner. We return to Saco for our final night. Day 5: After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for home with stops for meals and rest stops. We return home early evening. (B)
