Day 1: We begin our journey aboard our deluxe motorcoach to the sunny shores of Cape Cod. Known for its spectacular beaches and breathtaking sunsets, Cape Cod will offer you much to see and do during your trip. Today finds us traveling to South Yarmouth and our home for the next two nights. Tonight you will be our guests for a delicious Cape Cod dinner. (D)
Day 2: We tour the “Storybook Island” at Martha’s Vineyard. Enjoy a complete island tour including a walk through the “Gingerbread Cottage” area in Oak Bluffs, a drive along the beach where the movie “Jaws” was filmed, and time for shopping in Edgartown. We return to the mainland and continue to the Newport area for the next two nights. An included lobster dinner will be featured en route to Newport. (B, D)
Day 3: We tour Nantucket Island, the “little grey lady” 30 miles out to sea. The island still looks much as it did during its heyday as a prosperous whaling and shipping port of the 1800’s. Cedar-shingled homes and elegant mansions still line the cobblestone streets. This afternoon we enjoy a narrated island bus tour as we view Nantucket’s varied scenery, traveling past cranberry bogs, rolling fields and quaint cottages. We return to the mainland and enjoy a delicious dinner. (B, D)
Day 4: We depart with our guide and tour through coastal Rhode Island and board a ferry to Block Island, “the Bermuda of the North.” Block Island is known for its great beaches, wildflowers and miles of stone walls and rolling terrain. Another guided tour will introduce us to the sights of the island including a photo stop at Mohegan Bluffs. Dinner is included tonight in Newport. (B, D)
Day 5: We tour Newport by motorcoach, including a narrated driving tour of Bellevue Avenue lined with magnificent “summer cottages” and Ten Mile Ocean Drive, where we view the opulent estates and enjoy breathtaking ocean views. We continue home, returning early evening. (B)
