Day 1: We travel west today on our way to Dearborn, Michigan, our home for two nights. This Adventure includes a visit to magnificent Mackinac Island and explores the many attractions of the great state of Michigan. Dinner is included this evening. (D)
Day 2: Rise and shine, have breakfast and then begin this day at the Ford Rouge Factory Tour, where we will see how Ford F-150’s are built! From there we will travel through the unique adventure of 300 years of American history captured within 254 acres of indoor and outdoor historical exhibits and shops at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Founded by Henry Ford in 1929, the museum and village depict the sweeping changes that transformed America into a dynamic industrial society. The museum experience is complemented by a variety of historic structures, an operating saw mill, a pottery shop, glassmaking plant, steam-powered print shop and more. Tonight we will have dinner at a popular local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 3: After our included breakfast, we travel to Frankenmuth, known for its famous Christmas store. Then we continue to Mackinac Island aboard the ferry, then we will board a horse-drawn taxi to the luxurious Island House for two memorable nights. Following a delicious dinner, enjoy free time strolling along the enchanting village streets. (B, D)
Day 4: We’ve included breakfast and a captivating guided tour of the Island and Fort Mackinac on a horse-drawn carriage. We visit the famous Grand Hotel and allow you free time to explore this world-famous structure. Your afternoon is free to explore the shops and relax on the Island House porch with a favorite cocktail before dinner. (B, D)
Day 5: Following breakfast, we return to the mainland enroute to the Music House Museum, containing a rare collection of antique musical instruments and music-making machines. We later travel to Holland, Michigan and enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 6: After enjoying our breakfast, we travel to Windmill Island, a quaint authentic reproduction of a Dutch town with a lifestyle of 100 years ago. We later embark on an exciting dune buggy ride along the shores of Lake Saugatuck. We return to the Dearborn area for dinner. (B)
Day 7: We begin our journey home remembering Mackinac Island abloom with fragrant lilacs and all of our adventures in the beautiful state of Michigan! We return home early evening. (B)
