Day 1: Today we travel to the beautiful state of Maine on a trip that showcases the picturesque scenery of the Maine’s coastline. We stay for the next two nights in the south coast Maine region in York. Dinner is included tonight. (D)

Day 2: Following breakfast, we tour the Kennebunkport area and learn about the area’s 300 year history. Enjoy views of the presidential summer home, the Bush Estate, Wedding Cake House and a visit to the Franciscan Monastery. We will hear the history of this scenic coastal community. After an included lunch, we depart from scenic Perkins Cove aboard the Finestkind on a narrated cruise combining the beauty of Maine shoreline, and a first-hand lobstering experience. Hear about life on this rocky coast as we glide by scenic points of interest. Following our tour we spend free time at Perkins Cove filled with shops, galleries, eateries and spectacular views from the Marginal Way, a walk along the rocky coastline. We enjoy dinner on your own here. (B, L)

Day 3: We continue up the coastline to the Portland area. We embark on a Lighthouse Lovers Cruise seeing the Calendar Islands, coastal forts, Lobster boats and as many as seven of Maine’s lighthouses, including Maine’s oldest and host historic lighthouse, the Portland Head Light. We continue to one of Maine’s most picturesque towns, Boothbay Harbor, where we take time for lunch on our own in this delightful coastal village filled with shops and eateries and more views of the Maine coastline. We then tour the Boothbay Harbor region and discover why this area is the “Soul of the Maine’s coast”. Explore quiet coves, rocky shores, meandering country roads and light houses. We spend the next two nights in Belfast, ME, and relax over an included dinner to conclude our enjoyable day. (B, D)

Day 4: We visit the Penobscot Observatory this morning. We will take the elevator up 420 feet above the Penobscot River to a viewing platform where we will take in the 100 mile view. We continue to Bar Harbor and meet our guide for a tour of Acadia National Park. We will travel to the peak of Cadillac Mountain for a breath-taking view of the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. We will venture to Otter Point and experience the rocky cliffs jutting out into the crushing surf and we will also feel the power of the surf at Thunder Hole. We later give you some free time to explore downtown Bar Harbor. (B, D)

Day 5: We meet our guide this morning and discover beautiful Camden and Rockland including unsurpassed, panoramic views from Mount Battie overlooking Penobscot Bay and the Gulf of Maine. Hear about the rich maritime history of these two seaside villages. We return to Ogunquit this evening and relax over a farewell dinner. (B, D)

Day 6: We return home this morning filled with memories of the unforgettable scenery of our Maine coastal adventure. We return home early evening. (B)
