Day 1: We travel to Boston tonight and enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 2: Following breakfast at our hotel, we depart for a guided tour of historic Boston. We will follow the Freedom Trail and see sites like the Old South Meeting house, Kings Chapel and Burying Grounds, and the Old State House. We will also see the Boston Commons, the oldest public garden in the world. Lunch will be on your own today at Faneuil Hall. This afternoon we depart Boston for Berkshire Hills. We will visit the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. Dinner is included today. (B, D)

Day 3: After breakfast at the hotel, we journey north to the Green Mountains of Vermont. We visit the Apple Barn. This 300-acre orchard has spectacular, panoramic views. The tour includes a slice of apple pie a la mode. Next, we visit historic Bennington and the Bennington Monument State Site. Enjoy lunch on your own in the village of Manchester. We make a stop at the Hildene Estate – home to the family of Abraham Lincoln until 1975. We check into our hotel for the next 2 nights before participating in a savory dinner. (B, D)

Day 4: Grab some breakfast at the hotel before another spectacular day of touring. We will visit the Rock of Ages Quarry, tour through the state capital, Montpelier, and then enjoy lunch on your own. Morse Sugarworks is on the itinerary for this afternoon, for a tour of the Maple Sugar house. We continue on to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Watch how cider is made and enjoy some free samples. A relaxing dinner will end our day. (B, D)

Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel will start our day and then we will depart for the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We arrive at the Mount Washington hotel, a grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, is a favorite summer haunt for poets, princes, and presidents. Enjoy a guided tour followed by lunch in the grand dining room. This afternoon we will ride the Mount Washington Cog Railway. Later we check into our hotel for the next 2 nights and enjoy dinner on own tonight. (B, L)

Day 6: Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and then board the bus for another magnificent day. We will arrive at Weir’s Beach for a scenic cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee. Next we will visit the Castle in the Clouds, Thomas Plant’s spectacular Arts, and Crafts mansion. This afternoon we will tour along the Kancamagus Highway before dinner this evening. (B, D)

Day 7: Another yummy breakfast gets the day off to a pleasing start before we depart for Maine and tour Kennebunkport. We continue to the village of Ogunquit for a lobster cruise. We will see the Nubble Lighthouse on our way to our hotel. Dinner will be a clambake with Maine lobster. (B, D)

Day 8: One last breakfast at our hotel before we head home filled with many fond memories.
