Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

Day 1: Our travel day will get us to Portland, ME where we will enjoy dinner included at our hotel. (D)
Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, we depart Portland and head north to Canada. Our final destination will be St. John, New Brunswick, where we will stay for the night. (B)
Day 3: Following breakfast at the hotel we will meet our local tour guide for the St. John, known as Canada’s City on the Bay. We will visit the “Reversing Falls,” a scenic natural phenomenon where the water reverses directions and flows uphill. We travel on to Prince Edward Island. Please join us for an included dinner tonight. (B, D)
Day 4: Enjoy some breakfast at the hotel, before we tour Prince Edward Island. We will be sure to stop at the Green Gables House, which inspired the beloved tale of Anne of Green Gables. You will have time for lunch on your own in Charlottetown. Our next destination is Caribou, Nova Scotia where you will have time on your own in the evening. (B)
Day 5: Breakfast is at the hotel before we load the bus and head down the road. Have your cameras ready today as we travel along the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic highways in North America. Lunch will be included today. Our travels this afternoon take us through lush highlands and deep valleys with magnificent views of the sea and sky. We will stay the night in Sydney, Nova Scotia. (B, L)
Day 6: After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Louisbourg, NS for a tour of the historic Fortress of Louisbourg. Lunch is on your own before we depart for Halifax for the next 2 nights. (B)
Day 7: Start your morning with a hearty breakfast before our tour of Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia. Your tour will take you to the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, where you will learn the history of the famous fortress. Also of note, 150 victims of the RMS Titanic are buried in Halifax. After lunch on your own, we depart for Peggy’s Cove, a photographer’s delight! Dinner will be included tonight. (B, D)
Day 8: Following breakfast we will have a travel day to Bar Harbor, ME. (B)
Day 9: After breakfast at the hotel, we will meet our guide for a tour of Acadia National Park with a stop at Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the East Coast. You will have free time to explore and enjoy lunch on your own in Bar Harbor. Dinner is included tonight before we check into our final hotel. (B, D)
Day 10: One last breakfast will fill your heart with joy before we travel home. Let the memories of this trip last forever.
