Texas and San Antonio

13 Days / 12 Nights
Day 1: We are on our way to San Antonio, one of the southwest’s most popular destinations. We will visit many famous attractions in the Lone Star State as well as enjoy the sights along the way. WE travel to Morristown, TN today.
Day 2: We continue to Nashville, Music City USA where upon arrival we enjoy a guided tour of Nashville, introducing us to the homes of the stars and other famous landmarks. We enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 3: We travel to Memphis, the home of the blues and Elvis Presley. We tour Graceland, before continuing to Texarkana, our home for the evening. A dinner concludes our day of touring. (B, D)
Day 4: We continue to Texas and Fort Worth where we visit the Stockyards Visitor Center and learn about the famous cattle drives and the like of a western cowboy. If available, we tour the home of the Dallas Cowboys football team, AT&T Stadium. A Texas-sized dinner is included tonight. We spend the evening in the Dallas area. (B,D)
Day 5: We travel to South Fork Ranch, home of JR and the rest of the Ewing clan made famous in the TV show “Dallas.” We enjoy a tour of the ranch and have a hearty Texas sized breakfast. We continue to downtown Dallas, where we tour the Sixth Floor Museum, a memorial and exhibit examining John F. Kennedy’s life and legacy. You will view the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository building from which the fatal shots were fired. We continue to Austin, visiting the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame enroute. (B)
Day 6: This morning we tour the Lyndon B. Johnson Historic Park, where we go on a guided tour to the LBJ Ranch. See the “Texas White House” and visit the LBJ birthplace. We later visit the Pioneer Museum, located in Fredericksburg. We spend the night in Kerrville and enjoy and included dinner. (B,D)
Day 7: Experience an exotic wildlife tour at the Yo Ranch, home to exotic animals from all over the world. Following our tour we feast on a chuck-wagon lunch served on the ranch. Enjoy some of the best hill cooking around before we depart for San Antonio. A delicious dinner at a popular restaurant completes our day. (L,D)
Day 8: We begin our day with a guided tour of San Antonio. You will be introduced to historic city landmarks, including the Alamo. We relax on a cruise through the scenic Riverwalk. Dinner will be on your own at the Riverwalk and free time will be given to explore their shops. (B)
Day 9: We depart Texas this morning, stopping in Houston to visit the Johnson Space Center, the home of mission control, where human space missions and the operations of the International Space Station are monitored. We spend the night in Lafayette, LA. (B)
Day 10: We travel to New Orleans where we cruise the Mississippi River on the Natchez Riverboat. This evening we savor a delicious dinner at a popular New Orleans Restaurant. (B, D)
Day 11: We enjoy a guided tour of New Orleans featuring the French Quarter, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and the Hurricane flood area. After lunch on your own we begin our journey north, arriving in the Atlanta area. (B,)
Day 12: This morning we tour the popular Atlanta attraction the World of Coca Cola for a first-hand look at the history of this iconic product. We have an included lunch before we continue north to the Charlotte area. (L)
Day 13: We begin our final day of travel, heading home with memories of our wonderful time in Texas. We return home early evening.
