Winter Week in the Florida Villages

January 19 - 27, 2026

Day 1:  Say farewell to Pennsylvania's winter weather!  We travel today to Fayetteville, NC where we will have dinner 'on our own' and stay the night.

Day 2:  We depart for Crystal River, FL.  The bay in Crystal River is one of the largest aquifers in the state and home to more than 400 West Indian manatees that migrate each year to the warmth of the springs.  A buffet dinner is included this evening at the resort. (B, D)

Day 3:  After breakfast at the hotel, our morning starts with a scenic narrated river cruise.  The afternoon is your to discover Crystal River and all that it has to offer.  And a buffet dinner is included this evening at the resort. (B, D)

Day 4:  We depart for the Villages!  Upon arrival we will have a guided tour of the Age 55+ City.  We will learn about each Town Square, the residency requirement and you'll see ALL the recreation opportunities available to you each day.  When the tour ends, you will pick up your golf cart (one per room with 1 full tank of gas).  And this evening enjoy dinner on your own along with free entertainment...live music, dancing, movies, and many other events. (B)

Day 5:  In the morning, we will head to Silver Springs, which was one of Florida's first tourist attractions, for a guided tour.  This evening you will enjoy free time in the Villages. (B)

Day 6:  In the morning, we will visit the Gypsy Gold Horse Farm in Ocala and learn of its history and growth.  Then onto the Appleton Museum of Art, an 18,000 piece collection of paintings, sculptures, and equine art.  We will return to the Villages for another night of food and entertainment on your own. (B)

Day 7:  Enjoy the morning without any planned activities.  In the afternoon, we will enjoy a matinee show at the "Orange Blossom Opry."  Then back to the Village to enjoy the last night of food and entertainment! (B)

Day 8:  After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the warm weather and head to Fayetteville, NC.  Dinner will be on your own tonight. (B)

Day 9:  After breakfast at the hotel, get your winter jacket ready for Pennsylvania! (B)
